Our History
The club started out as the Medina Football Club in 1961. The original colours were red and white. The Club’s nickname was the Redlegs. The name got changed in the 70s after the club ran a competition to change the name and the colours. The new colours changed to royal blue, red & white. The new nickname became the Knights.
The Knights competed successfully in both the North Murray Football League and the Metropolitan Football League and also spent time in the Peel Football League before commencing in C4 Grade of the Western Australian Amateur Football League (now the Perth Football League) in 2014.
Their first three seasons in this competition saw them finish eighth, third and fifth. Then, in 2017 they qualified for their first grand final only to succumb by 22 points to Secret Harbour.
Promoted to C3 Grade as a consequence the Knights performed strongly in 2018 to make it through to a second successive grand final, only to fall short once again, this time at the hands of Coolbinia again getting promoted to C2 where they currently play.
